Things to do in Ayrshire for free!

So you are looking for family things to do in Ayrshire for Free? Well luckily there are lots to do in Ayrshire that dont involve money.
We will be focusing on the County town of Ayr. Ayr continues to attract thousands of people from all over Scotland due to its location by the beach and its great free attractions. There are lots of parks you and your kids can have fun in, kids playparks and of course the beach!
First we will take a look at the different parks available in the town that are open to the public for free. My favourite is Bellisle Park which is on Dunure Road and it has tons to do - I used to love going when I was a kid, my grandad would show me the golfers playing then onto the Pets at pet corner where you would see all types of small animals such as Guinee Pigs, Rabbits, Birds, Parrots and lots more. Then we would head over to the play park, via the donkeys, for some shots on the slides, swings and climbing frames before we went for a well earned cup of tea and cake at the restaurant. It was a great day out for me when I was younger and a place I still like to goto today with my own kids - its fun, easy on the pocket and tons to do!
Secondly Ayr features an amazing play park on the sea front thats open all year round and has loads to do for kids - theres a massive climbing frame with two huge slides, sand pits, swings, roundabouts, a pirate boat and much more than we could list here. Its usually very busy so expect lots of other kids running around but thats a testament to how good it is.
The park is right on the sea front so once you've have had a shot at the swirly swings in the park head onto the beach for a nice long walk along the sea front - build some sandcastles and get a little wet - make sure you bring the wellies and a spare pair of clothes for the kids!
Well there you have it - if you are stuck for things to do in Ayrshire head on down to the beautiful costal town of Ayr and have some fun!
